麻豆精选 will be painted green this weekend as it鈥檚 St. Patrick鈥檚 Day so dress like a leprechaun and head to some of these events and activities going on around town:
Saturday, March 15
Hotel Eldorado
The party starts on Saturday night at the Hotel Eldorado and runs from 7 p.m. to midnight with DJ Flaco spinning Celtic beats. The few tickets still available are $60 each and include either a pint of Guinness or a special Irish cocktail plus whiskey specials and snacks.
Need to recover? Don't worry because the hotel hosts a special St. Patrick's Day brunch buffet on Sunday morning, complete with Irish-inspired dishes.
Craft
In downtown 麻豆精选, Craft's St. Paddy's Day party is unfortunately sold out already.
Okanagan Irish Society
The Okanagan Irish Society is heading to Lake Country for a mid-day celebration on Saturday. The fun starts at 12 p.m. with lunch being served at 1 p.m. An hour and a half later, there will be performances by the Castilla School of Irish Dance and Ceol na n脡ierann.
The event is taking place at the St. Edward's Parish Hall at 11123 Okanagan Centre Road East. Tickets are $35 for non-members, $30 for members, and $20 for kids 12 and under.
Pretty Not Bad
Starting at 3 p.m., the sports bar will be playing Irish music and have traditional Irish dancers on hand to serve drinks and food specials to celebrate the holiday.
Franco's Liquor Store
At the liquor store on the UBCO campus, there is a free beer and whiskey tasting with the store owner Luigi from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Distrikt Nightclub
The downtown club is hosting a different kind of celebration as La Gozadera presents St. Patrick's Day Latin Style with the best Salsa, Bachata, and Merengue Fiesta music. Tickets are $11.
Sunday, March 16
麻豆精选 Yacht Club
Starting at 2 p.m., the 麻豆精选 Yacht Club will be holding their event with green beer, food specials, and tremendous trivia.
Monday, March 17
Gulfstream Lounge
The restaurant inside the Four Points hotel across from the airport will be serving a traditional Irish meal of Irish stew and soda bread on St. Patrick's Day, causing $18 at lunchtime and $23 at dinner.
They'll also have Guinness on special as well as Jameson shots and their special Jameson Jetsetter cocktail.
19 Okanagan Bar + Grill
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. at the West 麻豆精选 establishment with Jeff Piatelli and his trio providing live music from 7-9:30 p.m. There will be food specials along with dancing and mingling. Also, happy hour is on from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Red Bird Brewing
Red Bird Brewing will be hosting a five-hour party on Monday night with Irish dancers, the 麻豆精选 Pipe Band, a specialty cocktail, a brand new coffee stout cask, and feature food items. The action runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Connector Brewing
West 麻豆精选's newest brewery is hosting music bingo from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. They also have their Nitro Porter on special and will have green popcorn.
Kettle River Brewing
Irish, Scottish, and Maritime band Good Craic is returning as a trio and set to perform for free at Kettle River Brewing from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
All weekend long
Shoreline Brewing
The brewery will have green beer, specialty flights, shots and Jameson, and Irish stew all weekend long to celebrate the tradition.
Rustic Reel Brewing
How about a new beer for St. Patrick's Day? Rustic Reel has made a small batch of what they call Our Pot of Gold Ale, a 4.7 per cent ABV light, refreshing ale with citrus, melon, and stone fruit notes.
The establishment also had food specials for the weekend including Irish stew, potato wedges and loaded wedges.
The Office Brewing
From now until Monday, they have green pilsner as well as Guinness and Jameson on special.
Barn Owl Brewing
Barn Own has pints of their Wise Owl Nitro Stout on for $8 and pickle backs for $5 throughout the weekend.
