Whether you're newly graduated or need a change, you could find your next job at the annual Okanagan College (OC) Careers Expo.
Taking place at the 麻豆精选 campus on Wednesday, Feb. 5, the event gives students, graduates, alumni, and the general public a chance to see what opportunities and pathways are out there in the next step of their careers.
"The Careers Expo is a key event that brings together students and employers to build meaningful connections and explore future career possibilities," said OC Dean of Community Engagement and Careers, Alison Gibson. "We are proud to host an event that supports our students and alumni in their career development while strengthening relationships with our valued employer partners."
This opportunity is put together by the OC Careers Hub, which is a team that works with current students to find their passion and career path and with employers looking for the right fit to their organization.
鈥淥ur goal is to bring OC students, alumni and employers together to facilitate participation in co-op and Work-Integrated learning (WIL) opportunities, support students to build their work experience and career skills and help employers to access and hire OC student talent,鈥 added Gibson.
"In today's rapidly evolving B.C. economy, the intersection of education and industry is more crucial than ever," added OC alumni and CEO of Accelerate Okanagan Brea Lake. "The OC Careers Expo represents exactly the kind of dynamic connection our region needs 鈥 bringing together innovative employers and fresh talent. As we see unprecedented growth across diverse sectors in B.C., particularly in tech and entrepreneurial ventures, the connection between students and employers is invaluable for both workforce development and economic growth."
The event is taking place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at in the Centre for Learning (E Building) Atrium.
