Taste the stars and textures of the universe with a new curated dining experience led by a local astrologer and the Okanagan Table.
Tamara McLellan of Wild Sky Sisters looks to bring the taste of the bravery of Aries, the boldness of Leo, the comfort of Taurus and the dreaminess of Pisces together with the help of chef Rod Butters and beverage expert Audrey Surrao this season.
鈥淎s an astrologer, it鈥檚 my work to help people bring archetypal energy down from the head into the body and heart. There is no better way to do that than through the foods that express the seasonal energy,鈥� said McLellan.
The event will join astrology and gastronomy for a curated celestial feast that aims to craft together the flavours, textures, and energies associated with the Sun Sign of that season.
The recent Aries dinner was sold out on April 9. The menu was described as bold, adventurous, and full of surprises 鈥� just like Aries itself.
Between each course, diners will hear McLellan, a TEDx speaker, talk about the mythology and stories of that sign, along with its elemental characteristics and how it connects to the food and herbs we eat.
鈥淚 haven鈥檛 seen anything like this before. It gives people an opportunity to gather in each season and learn the tales of these ancient stories through our taste buds," explained McLellan. "You can come for your birthday season as a wonderful celebration with like-minded people! Also, if you鈥檙e drawn to a particular sign I would experience that too. We are more than our Sun Sign and as I teach people to pull their own charts on their mobiles, you may just find out you have a planet or placement in that sign as well."
The event looks to be a fun and lively combination of mythos and culinary art that creates an immersive experience that appeals to both foodies and astrology lovers.
