While most of the country鈥檚 movie theatres may be closed and the government is telling people to stay home due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the National Film Board of Canada (NFB) is reminding Canadians of the 4,000 titles available for free on their website.
The NFB鈥檚 website https://www.nfb.ca/ offers a wide range of short- and feature-length films. From animation, and documentary to fiction, there鈥檚 a little something for everyone, for free, on their site.

In fact, the NFB has added a few new films to the site this week including:
The Great List of Everything, an animated webseries by comic book artists Cathon Boudreau and Iris Boudreau, as well as Francis Papillon.
Ramaillages (Gatherings), a documentary series by Mo茂se Marcoux-Chabot.
Stories Are in Our Bones, a documentary short by Janine Windolph.
Lucien鈥檚 Happiness, a documentary short by Nathalie H茅bert.
The Artisans, a documentary feature by Daniel L茅ger.
The NFB frequently adds new movies to their roster and encourages Canadians to come back and check out their upcoming release which includes the documentary Where the Land Ends by Lo茂c Darses and Ice Breakers a documentary short by Sandi Rankaduwa.
The NFB is also taking part in this year鈥檚 International Festival of Films on Art, which is being presented online. Three of the NFB鈥檚 production will be featured beginning Wednesday, March 18 until midnight on Sunday, March 29 via https://www.artfifa.com/en.
The CBC is also getting in on the action with Movie Nights in Canada every Saturday night to replace the cancelled Hockey Night in Canada. Starting at 7 p.m. (8 AT, 8:30 NT) Movie Night in Canada will be a celebration of Canadian Films and will feature back-to-back movies each night.
