The Shuswap Children's Association (SCA) is preparing for three days of family friendly cinematic escape over spring break.
Between March 20 and 22, the SCA will be hosting its 6th Annual Children's Film Festival at the Salmar Grand. The event offers a selection of films (yet to be announced) suitable for all ages, with the $5 admission including popcorn and juice. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
Proceeds from the fest go towards the SCA's Family Support Worker program.
To ensure the event's success, the SCA says sponsorships and donations are critical.
"These contributions help cover costs such as film licensing, venue rental, printing costs and more, making it possible to keep the festival accessible to everyone in the community," reads an SCA media release. "By supporting the festival, sponsors and donors play an important role in fostering community spirit and enriching the lives of local families. It's an opportunity to support children, youth and families in the Shuswap to play, grow and thrive."
