A 麻豆精选 filmmaker is set to have his supernatural thriller on the big screen at Landmark's Grand 10 Cinemas beginning on Mar. 21.
Andrew Holmes' film 'The Island Between Tides' takes place on the north coast of B.C. and focuses on a young woman who wanders onto a remote tidal island.
The movie is based on J.M. Barrie's story 'Mary Rose' and starts Sons of Anarchy's Donal Logue, Riot Girls' Paloma Kwiatkowski, Gotham's David Mazouz, Hunter Hunter's Camille Sullivan, and Golden Globe nominee Adam Beach.
The film has captivated audiences across the world with its first viewing at the 2024 Cinequest Film Festival. The film won Best Feature Film at Utah's FilmQuest.
Being the first film to shoot in Prince Rupert, the movie was screened in the coastal community ahead of coming to the Okanagan and was the number one film screened the weekend of Mar. 7.
Holmes directed and produced 'The Island Between Tides' alongside Calgary's Austin Andrews and co-producers from 麻豆精选 and Peachland.
The film is also being screened at theatres in Salmon Arm, Williams Lake and Victoria.
