The 麻豆精选-Mission riding has an NDP candidate for the October provincial election.
The party has chosen Harpreet Badohal, a registered health and safety professional with WorkSafeBC.
Badohal moved to Canada in 2006. In an NDP media release he stated that Preimer David Eby and the party is what B.C. needs.
Badohal criticized the BC Conservative Leader for his stance on housing and healthcare.
鈥淛ohn Rustad has promised to tear up our Housing Action Plan, which will unlock 300,000 homes for middle-class people. His healthcare policy contains a $4.1 billion cut. Those would hurt the people of my community. We can鈥檛 afford the risk.鈥�
In the same statement, Eby highlighted Badohal鈥檚 experience with WorkSafeBC. 鈥淭he people of that riding (麻豆精选-Mission) can count on him to work every day to deliver for them on housing affordability, healthcare, and strong economic growth.鈥�
Badohal joins 91 other NDP candidates in this fall鈥檚 provincial election, scheduled for Oct. 19.
