The newly-created 麻豆精选-Centre riding has a new candidate.
BC United leader Kevin Falcon has announced retired surgeon Michael Humer as the candidate for the riding.
鈥淎 highly-regarded doctor and physician here in 麻豆精选,鈥� Falcon told Capital News. 鈥淸He鈥檚] probably treated tens of thousands of residents and is doing this because he wants to give back. He wants to help us reform this healthcare system that鈥檚 in a state of crisis.鈥�
Humer practiced thoracic surgery throughout the Interior and Northern B.C. for 20 years, becoming chief of surgery at 麻豆精选 General Hospital (KGH) in 2020. Additionally, he was also a board member of the Central Okanagan Hospice Association, including a term as president.
