Temperatures are dropping in 麻豆精选 and the local branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association is stepping up to help those living on the streets.

Environment Canada shows snow in the forecast this week for 麻豆精选 with daily highs zero or colder.

鈥淲e know how dangerous these cold snaps can be for people experiencing homelessness,鈥 said CMHA 麻豆精选 CEO, Mike Gawliuk. 鈥淥ur Community Roots team is committed to being out on the streets ensuring that folks who are unhoused are provided with warm clothing and have access to the supports they need to stay safe during these cold days and months.鈥

The team will distribute winter jackets, toques, gloves, socks, insulated blankets and sleeping bags.

CMHA 麻豆精选 is collecting financial and physical donations to assist more people. Donations can be made online at cmhakelowna.org or by visiting their office at 504 Sutherland Ave.
