RCMP were called to a crash on Harvey Avenue at Burtch Road at about 5:32 p.m. Tuesday, to assist emergency crews.
The driver of a vehicle attempted to turn southbound onto Burtch and crashed directly into a 麻豆精选 transit bus.
According to police, the bus was travelling eastbound and going through the intersection with a green light.
There were approximately five passengers on board at the time of the collision, with no reported injuries to them or the driver, stated BC Transit.
The transit bus was taken out of service due to front end damage
"Our top priority is safety, and BC Transit and our contracted operating partner, Transdev Canada, are undertaking an investigation into this incident," said BC Transit.
The driver of the vehicle did not appear to be under the influence, stated RCMP.
It鈥檚 not clear if anyone other than the driver was on the bus.
A three-vehicle crash involving a BC Transit bus has blocked the northbound lanes of Harvey Avenue at Burtch Road.
The incident happened just before 6 p.m. Tuesday.
At least one of the vehicles involved will have to be towed.
One lane of Harvey is open to traffic northbound, while Burtch is closed in both directions.
It's unclear what caused the collision or if anyone was on the transit bus at the time of the incident.
