Expo of Awesome ‘steams’ back to UBC Okanagan

More than 500 students from the Central Okanagan and Vernon school districts are set to experience science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM).

Expo of Awesome takes place over two days at UBC Okanagan (UBCO), aiming to inspire young learners with a focus on sustainability.

Organized by local and provincial groups, including STEAM Ecosystem BC, the event provides hands-on learning opportunities.

Students will engage in sessions led by UBCO outreach programs, Central Okanagan Public Schools, Science World BC, Ocean Networks Canada, the 鶹ѡ Museum Society, Royal BC Museums, Okanagan Marine Design, Okanagan Science Centre, Okanagan Regional Library, and the Regional District Central Okanagan.

The expo runs on May 29 for Central Okanagan students and May 30 for Vernon students, from 10 am to 1:45 pm each day.
