Lime e-scooters and e-bikes will be rolling around 麻豆精选 streets for another two years.
The city has renewed its contract with the micromobility company. Lime has been operating in 麻豆精选 for the past 3.5 years.
鈥淭hroughout their time operating in 麻豆精选, staff have reviewed feedback from residents and adjusted the program with Lime to better meet the community鈥檚 needs,鈥� said Cameron Noonan, transportation planner.
Over two million kilometres have now been ridden, with roughly half of those trips replacing a car trip, meaning less traffic on city roads, Noonan added.
The agreement includes performance standards of quality service, and safety.
"Ridership data shows that people value our safe, affordable, and sustainable e-bikes and e-scooters," said Sonia Kandola, director of government relations at Lime.
Riders must be 18+ and wear a helmet while using e-scooters and e-bikes. Double riding, and drinking and riding are not permitted.
Lime representatives will be at the Bernard Block Party today (July 20) celebrating one million rides in 麻豆精选 by giving away free helmets, swag and other discounts.
