The last day of open burning for the season in the Central Okanagan is Wednesday, April 30.
To burn at all, property owners must have a permit that follows both the Regional District of Central Okanagan鈥檚 (RDCO) smoke control rules and all the provincial guidelines.
Other options after April 30, include chipping, grinding, or disposal at 麻豆精选鈥檚 Glenmore Landfill, or the Westside Residential Waste and Recycling Centre in West 麻豆精选. Property owners in the North Westside or Traders Cove can bring up to 10 bags of yard waste per trip to your local transfer station.
Stumps, thick branches, logs, or limbs over five centimetres thick need to go to the Glenmore Landfill.
Campfires are still allowed in most of the Central Okanagan 鈥� except in the City of 麻豆精选.
