鶹ѡ RCMP is saying little about a police presence in a Rutland neighbourhood late Thursday (Apr 4) night.

A witness told Capital News that police knocked on the door of their Graham Road home around 10:50 p.m. to ask if they had heard or seen anything.

“We looked across the street and down the street which had about seven police cars,” the witness said. “There was police tape in front of our home and each home on either side and across the street as well.”

The witness added that all the lights were on inside a home where officers were. Police had cleared the scene before 5 a.m. Friday (Apr 5).

RCMP confirmed to Capital News that officers responded to an incident on Graham Rd that it is an ongoing investigation and there is no concern for public safety.
