A 麻豆精选 roofing company is mourning the loss of a long-time employee, colleague, and mentor.
In a media release, Laing Roofing said Roy Olsen died in a motorcycle crash on May 20 in 麻豆精选.
鈥淩oy was not just a master roofer, he was the backbone of Laing Roofing for the past 21 years,鈥 the release stated. 鈥淗is incredible depth of knowledge, dedication to his trade, and hard work made him a cornerstone of our team and a prominent figure in the Okanagan construction community.鈥
RCMP confirmed that a 56-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash that closed a section of Highway 33 on May 20.

鈥淥ur hearts go out to his family and loved ones during this difficult time,鈥 said Darran Light, president of Laing Roofing. 鈥淗e will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Light added that Olsen was not only a colleague but also family.

A celebration of life will be held at Springfield Funeral Home on Friday, June 7 at 1 p.m. with a reception to follow after the service.
