A 麻豆精选 roofing company is mourning the loss of a long-time employee, colleague, and mentor.
In a media release, Laing Roofing said Roy Olsen died in a motorcycle crash on May 20 in 麻豆精选.
鈥淩oy was not just a master roofer, he was the backbone of Laing Roofing for the past 21 years,鈥� the release stated. 鈥淗is incredible depth of knowledge, dedication to his trade, and hard work made him a cornerstone of our team and a prominent figure in the Okanagan construction community.鈥�
RCMP confirmed that a 56-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash that closed a section of Highway 33 on May 20.

Light added that Olsen was not only a colleague but also family.

A celebration of life will be held at Springfield Funeral Home on Friday, June 7 at 1 p.m. with a reception to follow after the service.
