A pedestrian has died after being hit by a vehicle on Highway 97 in Lake Country, on March 2.
Lake Country RCMP arrived on scene at Highway 97 between Pelmewash Parkway and Wall Road, at approximately 10:30 p.m. after reports of a collision.
The highway was closed to traffic until approximately 5:30 a.m. on March 3, for an RCMP collision analyst to collect the necessary data.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene while the pedestrian was taken to 麻豆精选 General Hospital where they died as a result of their injuries.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have dash camera footage of the collision and has not yet spoken with police, is asked to contact the Lake Country RCMP at 250-766-2288 and reference file number 2025-11063.
