The Ogopogo Rotary Club of 麻豆精选 hosts its annual Mystery Whisky Tasting on Saturday, Feb. 24.
Participants will be guided through a tasting of seven of Scotland鈥檚 finest single malt whiskies.
鈥淥ne of our experts from Scotland will take you through how to test each whisky and to identify each one by its own unique characteristics,鈥� says Mark Dixon, whiskey ambassador. 鈥淭he whiskies we鈥檝e chosen will be a carefully curated selection design to challenge your senses and taste buds.鈥�
Hosted at Okanagan College (OC), the event will also feature a silent auction, 50-50 draw and door prizes.
Proceeds support the OC Foundation and other local charities, and this year funds will go to the Thrive Here campaign for a new Recreation and Wellness Centre on the 麻豆精选 campus.
Those funds will be matched by fellow Rotarians Cliff and Linda Serwa through the Serwa Spirit Match, which will match all donations to the Recreation and Wellness Centre, up to $500,000.
鈥淲e can鈥檛 thank the 麻豆精选 Ogopogo Rotary Club enough,鈥� says Helen Jackman, OC Foundation director. 鈥淧ast events raised $15,000 for our Health Sciences Centre, which is now educating hundreds of healthcare students to serve in our community.
Since its inception, the Mystery Whisky Tasting tasting has raised more than $50,000 for local non-profits.
