Despite being short-handed for approximately 20 minutes in their second game at the BCHL Showcase, the West Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ Warriors only gave up one goal to the Brooks Bandits.
The game was over at 4:59 of the first period when Parker Lalonde (10) scored on the power play to give Brooks the 1-0 win.
West Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ took 10 penalties over 60 minutes of play, including two double minors for high-sticking. The Bandits were assessed six penalties. Brooks out shot the Warriors 25-22 with West Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ goaltender Dawson Labre earning first-star honours for his performance.
The Warriors lost to the Chilliwack Chiefs 5-3 on Oct. 15. West Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ is seventh in the Interior Division with a record of 3-5-2-0-0. The Warriors return to Royal Lepage Place on Saturday, Oct. 19 to take on the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.
