An arrest has been made in the assault causing bodily harm to a 75-year-old Sicamous man.
On March 23, Sicamous RCMP located and arrested a 24-year-old local man in relation to the assault that occurred on March 13 at the senior's rural property on Solsqua, Sicamous Road.
At that time, the 75-year-old landlord reported he had been assaulted by a friend of his tenant after he confronted the man for being on his property. The victim sustained numerous injuries in the alleged attack, including a broken nose and bruising to his body.
The suspect is currently awaiting a court appearance but is not being held in custody.
"The suspect was released with a court date in May in Salmon Arm," Sgt. Murray McNeil said in a media release. "And conditions which include prohibiting him from contacting the elderly victim."
