The third Thompson River University men鈥檚 volleyball player involved in a car crash in Kamlooops has been identified as Owen Waterhouse from 麻豆精选.
The three team members were struck on Nov. 29. The crash closed the intersection of University Drive and McGill Road, near TRU, for several hours.
In a GoFundMe started for Waterhouse and his family, the posting reads, 鈥淥wen remains in a medically induced coma and is in critical condition, in care of the phenomenal team in ICU at the Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops. He has sustained severe brain trauma and life will be forever changed.鈥�
Waterhouse is described as kind and selfless. He was a former volunteer with the 麻豆精选 Minor Hockey Association and participated in fundraisers and charities like Easter Seals.
The fundraiser for the volleyball player is aiming to raise $50,000 for treatment, rehabilitation and other necessities.
Waterhouse鈥檚 teammate Riley Brinnen is also recovering from the crash at Vancouver General Hospital.
TRU Wolfpack鈥檚 Owen McInnis from Guelph, Ont. died in the collision. A scholarship has been set up in his name.
