A motor-vehicle crash has closed a section of Highway 1 in Salmon Arm.
The highway is closed in both directions between the intersection of 5th and 10th Street SW.
The Tuesday morning, April 8 incident involved a pickup truck that wound up on the eastbound shoulder. It sits next to a sheared fallen hydro pole, with cable going across all four lanes. Firefighters, police and transportation ministry personnel are on scene, with flaggers arriving.

It's unknown at this time if anyone was injured in the crash.
