A pair of new electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are ready to be used in Penticton.
More stations have opened at city hall and Penticton Community Centre.
The fee to charge at the new stations is $0.38 per kilowatt hour, according to the city. They are known as "level 3" chargers, which provide electricity to vehicles at a faster rate.
Two more stations are expected to be activated in Penticton later this year, one each at Skaha Lake Park and Riverside Park.
"The installation of EV charging stations is a step towards meeting the city's climate action goals of reducing emissions by 40 per cent below 2007 levels by 2030," a press release reads.
