麻豆精选 RCMP responded to Highway 97 and Highway 33 on Sunday (March 17) just before 1 p.m. for a single report of an altercation involving a firearm.
Multiple units attended to the 1500 block of Highway 33 West.
A person in the area who matched the caller鈥檚 description of the suspect was spotted by police but fled the area on foot. The person was not found.
Officers followed up with the caller who claimed they had not actually witnessed an altercation, nor did they see a firearm. Police are unsure why the information was reported to them.
