Vernon RCMP looking for suspect in $4K diamond ring theft

The Vernon North Okanagan RCMP is looking to identify this person, related to an investigation into a theft that took place Feb. 26, 2025.

The Vernon North Okanagan RCMP is asking the public to help identify a suspect in a theft investigation, after a person allegedly stole a pricey piece of jewelry. 

A male suspect stole a diamond ring valued at about $4,000 from a downtown Vernon business on Feb. 26 at approximately 12:25 p.m., the RCMP said in a media release Friday, March 7. 

We are releasing images of the suspect and are asking for the public鈥檚 help to identify him and advance our investigation, said media relations officer Const. Chris Terleski. 

The photos show a man in a black bucket hat wearing sunglasses and a red and grey windbreaker. 

Anyone who recognizes the person in the photos, or has information that could assist with the investigation, is asked to contact the RCMP at 250-545-7171 and quote file number 2025-2828.
