UPDATE: Vernon RCMP locate missing man

Louis Leggett, 31, was last heard from in mid-December

UPDATE Jan. 8:

The missing 31-year-old man, who was last seen in Vernon in December, 2024, has been located safe and well.

"The Vernon North Okanagan RCMP would like to extend our appreciation to the public and our media partners for their assistance."

ORIGINAL Jan. 6:

Police are requesting the assistance of the public to locate Louis Leggett.

He was last seen by family in mid-December 2024 in Vernon.

Leggett, 31, is an Indigenous man, five-foot-six-inches tall, 115 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP are concerned for Leggett's health and well-being.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Leggett is urged to contact their local police, remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or leaving a tip online at www.nokscrimestoppers.com.
