After the 麻豆精选 Chiefs 6-5 win over the Kimberley Dynamiters on Saturday night, Feb. 15 at Rutland Arena, the team celebrated their billet families.

The 麻豆精选 Chiefs' offence came alive in the penultimate weekend of the KIJHL regular season.

Over the course of two games, the team scored 12 goals, leading to a 6-5 win over the Kimberley Dynamiters on Saturday, Feb. 15 and a 6-2 win against the Chase Heat on Monday.

The team got off to a quick start on Saturday as Matt Saretsky (11) and Matt Fraser (16) scored goals in a span of 66 seconds. Luke Rishaug and Owen Ivanov assisted Saretsky's goal while Owen Miller and Sam Dal Cin helped Fraser's.

Later in the frame, Aiden Morcom added his 17th of the year, assisted by Miller.

After the Dynamiters responded with two goals in quick succession early in the second period, the Chiefs responded with two goals in under two minutes. 

Kaiden Sydenham scored his fifth of the year at the 16:06 mark, from Steve Andrusiak and Jonah Kaiser. At the 17:41 mark, Dal Cin found the back of the net for the third time this season, assisted by Aiden Petherick and Miller.

However, Kimberley's Tristan Weill scored with six seconds left in the period, cutting 麻豆精选's lead to two.

In the third period, Chiefs' Gairen Bona's fourth goal of the season was sandwiched between two Kimberley goals as 麻豆精选 held onto the 6-5 win.

Michael Makowsky was busy in the net, making 41 saves in the win for the Chiefs.

The quick start continued on Monday afternoon as Morcom scored his 18th and 19th of the season, followed by Miller's 16th, leading 麻豆精选 to a 3-0 lead after one.

In the second period, Saretsky added his 12th of the year, assisted by Rishaug and Jack Libin. 

Early in the final frame, Ivanov added his 12th goal of the campaign, followed by Morcom completing the hat-trick with his 20th goal of the season. 

Makowsky made 37 saves in the win. And with the two wins, the Chiefs are now 17-21-1-3 on the season with just two regular-season games to go.

The team is next in action on Friday night (Feb. 21) against the Revelstoke Grizzlies. The final game of the season takes place at Rutland Arena on Saturday, Feb. 22 against the Sicamous Eagles.
