Felix Trudeau is in the conservation with some elite company.
The former West Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ Warrior was recently named a nominee for the Hobey Baker Award, which goes to the best player at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) level.
So far this season with Sacred Heart University (SHU) in Fairfield, Connecticut, Trudeau has 27 points (13 goals, 14 points) in 26 games.
Some of the past Hobey Baker Award winners include San Jose Sharks forward Macklin Celebrini (2024), Columbus Blue Jackets Adam Fantilli (2023), and Montreal Canadiens Cole Caufield (2021).
The Terrebonne, Quebec native played for the Warriors in 2021-2022, collecting 61 points in 47 BCHL games.
Before his time at SHU, he spent two seasons at the University of Maine.
In addition to Trudeau, two former Penticton Vees are also nominated for the award.
