As the start of a new NHL season begins, a number of former Penticton Vees will be among those set to hit the ice.
Five former members of the Fred Harbinson-led team have made NHL opening night rosters for
Troy Stecher (Arizona Coyotes), Tyson Jost (Buffalo Sabres), Ryan Johansen (Colorado Avalanche), Mike Reilly (Florida Panthers), and Dante Fabbro (Nashville Predators) are the five Vees and among the 19 B.C. Hockey League alumni to claim the coveted roster spots.
Fabbro and his Predators battle the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday afternoon, marking the NHL’s first game of
Colorado, who opens its season Wednesday against the Los Angeles Kings, has the most BCHL representation on its roster heading into the new campaign.
