After collecting five points in two games, 麻豆精选 Chiefs forward Owen Ivanov has been named the KIJHL's Young Gun of the week for Jan. 20-26.
The 18-year-old led the Chiefs with a four-point night en route to a 4-2 win over league-best Princeton Posse on Friday, Jan. 24 and added collected a goal in the team's 5-4 overtime win against Creston Valley on Saturday, Jan. 25.
鈥淚 was just in the right spot at the right time for those goals,鈥� said Ivanov. 鈥淲e could throw in a bit of skill for that Creston Valley goal, but it鈥檚 just doing the right things and trusting your teammates and getting the puck in.鈥�
Ivanov is third on the Chiefs with 28 points in 31 games this season.
