Baseball players and fans are gearing up for baseball season which comes sooner than one might think. The Okanagan Athletics and the Okanagan College Coyotes may have year round programs with training, but the time for games is something both players and fans are ready for.
Athletics head coach Evan Bailey said his players are ready.
鈥淭hey鈥檙e working hard, and at this time of the year, that鈥檚 all you can ask from them,鈥� said Bailey. 鈥淲e start playing games in March, and that鈥檚 when it really gets going.鈥�
The baseball season will be in full swing for the Athletics, the Okanagan College Coyotes and the Junior Coyotes peewee clubs, and like to use this time of the year to get baseball fans excited.

2019 marks the third year for the comedy and carnival fundraiser that the three teams use to get the baseball community talking.
鈥淭he previous two years have been a success,鈥� said Bailey. 鈥淚t鈥檚 the best time to get the teams together and get people within the baseball community, as well as fans with ties, thinking about baseball. We work closely with one another to maximize the volume of support for Okanagan baseball.鈥�
