Summerland's Dezi Ducheck is trading a Rocket for a Cougar.
The six-foot-three-inch do-it-all guard has committed to play post-secondary basketball with the Mount Royal Cougars out of Calgary.
Ducheck had a nearly flawless senior season with the Summerland Secondary Rockets, averaging 32 points per game.
His Rockets went an incredible 32-1 on the season, winning the Okanagan Valley Zone Championships. Their only loss was in the B.C. Provincial Championship final to the Pacific Academy Breakers.
His explosive scoring ability was showcased at provincials, where he was recognized as a first team all star.
