Forward Noah Grolnic (from left), goalie Marko Bilic, and forward Jakub Grolnar are the latest to leave the Vernon Vipers. The BCHL club has used 45 players this season.

The revolving door leading to and from the Vernon Vipers dressing room continues to spin.

There are only four players left from the opening night roster.

In with the B.C. Hockey League club is forward Luc Bydal. Out are goalie Marko Bilic, and forwards Jakub Galnor and Noah Grolnic.

Since opening night Sept. 20, the Vipers have used a total of 45 players.

The league's trade deadline is Feb. 10.

Bydal, from Grand Forks (North Dakota), brings plenty of junior hockey experience to the Snakes' Den. The six-foot-two, 185-pound Bydal played junior in Saskatchewan, and the Vipers picked him up from the Colorado Grit of the North American Hockey League (NAHL). Bydal had eight goals and 12 assists with the Grit.

"Luc is a big body who plays a responsible 200-foot game, and has improved his offensive game recently," said Vipers head coach Lukas Lomicky. "We believe he can carry that side of his game here in Vernon."

Bilic and Galnor are expected to land with NAHL teams. Grolnic left the club to contemplate his future in the game. He played 25 games with the Vipers, scoring four times and adding 12 assists for 16 points.

Galnor contributed 4-4-8 in 24 games, and Bilic compiled a 3-8 win-loss record in 14 games played. He posted a 3.52 goals against average, and a .895 save percentage.

The Vipers have called up goalie Tyson Adams of Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ from the 18U Okanagan HC of the Junior Prospects Hockey League to backup Jari Kykkanen for this weekend's home games.

Vernon takes on the Okotoks Oilers tonight, Friday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m., and entertain the Trail Smoke Eaters Saturday, Jan. 25, at 6 p.m. at Kal Tire Place.

The Snakes begin the weekend in 10th place in the Interior Conference, seven points behind the Oilers for the eighth and final conference playoff spot.
