Playoff picture set at Montana's Brier in 麻豆精选

The playoffs are a crossover, double elimination format

Team Canada and Brad Gushue will take on Team Alberta - Jacobs at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, March 7 in the first round of the Brier playoffs.

The round robin play came down to the wire and now the playoff picture for the 2025 Brier is set.

Throughout Thursday, March 6, the action was intense on the Prospera Place ice as teams battled for seeding and the final playoff spots.

Team Canada - Gushue lost a key game, falling 7-6 to Team Manitoba - Dunstone on Thursday, meaning Dunstone's team secured first overall in Pool A. Gushue finished second in the pool while Team Manitoba - Carruthers clinched the third and final playoff spot.

Pool B was a mess going into Thursday with four teams battling for the last playoff spot but in the end, Team Nova Scotia - Purcell became from first Nova Scotia team to make the Brier playoffs since 2006.

The first day of playoffs on Friday is called the page qualifiers. The playoffs are a crossover, double elimination format. 

In the first round (Draw 19) at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Team Alberta - Jacobs takes on Team Canada - Gushue while Team Manitoba - Dunstone takes on Team Saskatchewan - McEwen. The winners of these games advance to Draw 22 taking place at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. The losers will have to place in Draw 20 at 6:30 p.m. on Friday night against the #3 seeds, meaning the loser of Jacobs vs Gushue will take on Team Manitoba - Carruthers while the loser of Dunstone vs McEwen will take on Team Nova Scotia - Purcell on Friday night.

The winners of Draw 20 face each other in Draw 21 at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
