For the second week in a row, a Revelstoke Grizzlies player has found himself in the league spotlight after a series of triumphant games.
Defenceman Faris Meddeb, 19, made the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League's Stars of the Week list.
Originally from Calgary, Meddeb scored two goals and three points during Revelstoke's 9-0 shutout win against the Osoyoos Coyotes last Friday, Jan. 24.
He also assisted on the critical overtime goal that secured the Grizzlies' 4-3 nail-biter against the Columbia Valley Rockies last Saturday, Jan. 25.
Most notably, Meddeb leads his team's blue line with 23 points across 31 games and has set a new season high for point-scoring.
He next hits the ice this Friday (Jan. 31) and Saturday (Feb. 1), playing back-to-back home games against the Princeton Posse at 7 p.m. both nights.
