Trio of former Penticton Vees named to NCAA all-star teams

Three current NCAA stars who once suited up for the BCHL's Penticton Vees have cracked their year-end conference all-star teams.

Francesco Dell鈥橢lce, Liam Malmquist, and Lukas Sillinger all got all-star nods for the 2024-25 season.

Dell鈥橢lce (University of Massachusetts) cracked the Hockey East conference's all-rookie team. The King City, Ont., native posted 38 points in 54 games for the Vees in 2023-24.

Malmquist (University of St. Thomas) made the first, all-conference team in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association. The forward played for Penticton from 2019 to 2021, serving as an assistant captain for the local BCHL club during the abbreviated 2020-21 campaign.

Sillinger (Arizona State University), the brother of former Vees forward Owen Sillinger and current NHL winger Cole Sillinger, cracked the second, all-conference team in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference. The Regina, Sask., product had 104 points for Penticton from 2017 to 2020.

The Vees represent three of the 29 former BCHL players to make year-end conference all-star teams in the NCAA.
