The 麻豆精选 Rockets will look to get back into the win column on an important night at Prospera Place.
On Friday, Feb. 21, the team welcomes the Vancouver Giants (27-21-6-0) to town before embarking on an eight-game road trip because of The Brier coming to town. Additionally, it will be a significant night as the Rockets have teamed up with the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) to raise mental health awareness throughout the game.
During the night there will be:
- A CMHA-run kiosk where fans can learn more about mental health;
- The CMHA 麻豆精选 & Sunshine LeisureScapes puck toss for mental health during the second intermission;
- Pre-puck drop special mental health video;
- Public address announcements pertaining to mental health.
Part of the night is to acknowledge Talk Today, which is a mental health support system for players and raises awareness about mental health and suicide prevention throughout the WHL's communities. Each team has received specific training and has a CMHA mental health coach.

It's now been over a month since the 麻豆精选 Rockets last won a game. Their last win came on Jan. 18, against Seattle and since then they are 0-12-1-1. Overall, they are 16-32-4-2, sitting last in the Western Conference.
Friday night's puck drop is at 7:05 p.m.
And then the following night, the team starts the eight-game road trip as they had to Langley to finish off the home-and-home weekend with Vancouver. Puck drop is at 7 p.m. at the Langley Events Centre.
West 麻豆精选 Warriors
After a tough loss on Family Day, the West 麻豆精选 Warriors are back in action this weekend with a pair of home games.
Starting on Friday night, the team will welcome the Cranbrook Bucks to Royal LePage Place, followed by the BCHL's best Penticton Vees on Saturday night.
The Warriors are still battling for their playoff spot as they sit seventh in the Interior Conference with a record of 17-19-5-2. Cranbrook sits sixth but seven points ahead of West 麻豆精选 at 23-15-2-0. Penticton, 32-7-4-0, is one of three teams to have already clinched a playoff spot.
Puck drop is at 7 p.m. on both nights.
Additionally, Saturday night is the fourth annual Feed The Valley night, in support of the Central Okanagan Food Bank. All cash and non-perishable food donations will go right to the food bank and anyone who donates is eligible for a draw to win prizes.
麻豆精选 Chiefs
It's the final weekend of the season for the 麻豆精选 Chiefs.
With just two games left to go, the team has been eliminated from playoff contention but will finish the regular season with games against the Revelstoke Grizzlies and Sicamous Eagles.
On Friday night, the Chiefs (17-21-1-3) are in Revelstoke to take on the Grizzlies (31-7-0-4). The following night, 麻豆精选 returns home to Rutland Arena to welcome Sicamous (21-15-6-0) to town for the last game of the regular season.
Puck drop is at 7 p.m. on both nights.
UBCO Heat
The Canada West postseason has started for a couple of UBCO Heat teams.
The university's men's volleyball team (ranked ninth) is taking on the eighth-ranked University of Manitoba in a best-of-three series while the women's basketball team takes on the University of Regina Cougars in Vancouver on Friday.
In volleyball, the best-of-three series begins on Thursday night with game two taking place on Friday and a third and deciding game in necessary on Saturday.
