Vernon Kokanee Swim Club (VKSC) swimmers made waves at the annual Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ Aquajets Snowfest Meet.
Taking place from Jan. 24-25, 30 VKSC athletes competed at the Okanagan competition.
Mac Poulin, Aurora Hamilton and Victoria Reynolds all qualified for their first interior divisional championships, while Alex Puchkov qualified for his first provincials.
Seven new club records were set; including Puchkov's 1:16.76 100 metre breaststroke time and 200 m time of 2:49.59 in the age 11-12 category.
Kaeden Uesson nabbed a record in the 50 m backstroke, 100 m backstroke and 50 m breaststroke, also in the age 11-12 category.
In the 12 and under 4 x 50 m free mixed relay, a club record was set with Puchkov, Uesson, Dean Goldie and Avalon Ellis.
The 14 and under 4 x 50 m free mixed relay also set a record with a time of 2:09.91. The foursome included Kayne Clark, Max Helm, Kathryn Reynolds and Victoria Reynolds.
Numerous other VKSC swimmers achieved 100 per cent personal times, with 18 setting big drops in times. A total of 171 personal bests were set.
Next up is the winter divisional meet, hosted in Penticton by the KISU Swim Club. The three-day competition begins on Friday, Feb. 21.
