Second-year forward, recent overtime hero, and assistant captain of the Vernon Vipers, Julian Facchinelli, is heading to the Ivy League next year.
The 19-year-old has committed to play for Princeton University in the 2024-25 season.

The local of Woodbrige, Ont has broken out in his sophomore season with the Vipers. Already, the forward has seven points (three goals, five assists) in just five games played. Last season, he played in 51 games, contributing 21 points (11 goals, 10 assists).

鈥淛ulian is one of the hardest working players I have ever coached,鈥� said head coach and GM of the Vipers, Jason McKee. 鈥淗is work ethic and coachable approach has allowed his game to grow and is very deserving to attend a prestigious educational institution in Princeton.鈥�
The Tigers play in the ECAC conference in Princeton, New Jersey. Other notable Vipers to have suited up for the prestigious school includes defenceman Michael Ufberg and goaltender Aidan Porter.
Facchinelli played his youth hockey with the Markham Majors in Ontario, before two seasons within the US High School Preparatory league, for three different programs.
