The West 麻豆精选 Warriors pocketed two points on Saturday (Mar. 15) night, blanking the Powell River Kings 5-0 at Royal LePage Place.
West 麻豆精选鈥檚 Sam LeDrew opened the scoring in the first period with his team-leading 23rd goal of the season, giving the Warriors a 1-0 lead in the final minute of the frame.
Elias Callgren (14) put the Warriors up 2-0 four minutes into the second period. Three minutes later, Jackson Kyrkostas (11) extended the to 3-0. Ian Alonso (11) added one more goal, on the powerplay, before the period was over, making it 4-0 Warriors. LeDrew capped off the night with his second goal (24) for the 5-0 win with just over a minute remaining in the third.
With the win, the Warriors move two points ahead of the eighth-place Okotoks Oilers in the Interior Division. West 麻豆精选 has four games left in the regular season with two of them in Alberta. They face the Oilers on Friday (Mar. 21), and travel to Blackfalds to play the Bulldogs on Saturday.
