The West 麻豆精选 Warriors are hosting more than 40 seniors and families in need on United Way BC Night on Saturday, Feb. 8 against the Vernon Vipers at Royal LePage Place.

The West 麻豆精选 Warriors will be hitting the ice as well as helping families on Saturday, Feb. 8.

When the Warriors host the Vernon Vipers, it will also be United Way BC Night at Royal LePage Place. Through United Way's Local Love Fund, more than 40 families and seniors facing financial challenges will be provided tickets and food vouchers for the game.

That night's 50/50 draw will also benefit the United Way.

"Many individuals and families who will receive these tickets rarely have the opportunity to enjoy leisure activities, as they must prioritize essentials such as rent and food," says Magda Kapp, United Way BC's Emergency Response & Partnerships Specialist. "We are delighted to provide them with this opportunity for entertainment, especially during such a challenging time when so many in our community are struggling to make ends meet."

Puck drop on Feb. 8 is at 7 p.m.
