The West 麻豆精选 Warriors had little time back home before having to set off on for yet another road-trip to Prince George. The Warriors鈥 face-off against one of the best teams in the Spruce Kings Thursday night.
West 麻豆精选 netted only two points in their recent three game road trip, that ended up lasting five days due to weather delays. First, it was a tough 2-1 loss to the BCHL鈥檚 best Chilliwack Chiefs on Feb. 8, then a high-scoring 7-4 win over the Alberni Valley Bulldogs the night afterwards, and a final 5-4 loss to Powell River Kings on Feb. 10.
Warriors鈥 head coach Brandon West said there was a lot of positives to take away from the road-trip.
鈥淲e felt we played a pretty good 170 out of 180 minutes on the trip. Yes, it鈥檚 disappointing to not make up any ground in the standings but we know that our game is starting to tighten up and that鈥檚 what we wanted,鈥 said West. 鈥淲e need to find some points this weekend to make up for it.鈥

The Warriors sit in sixth place in the B.C division, and play the BCHL鈥檚 second best team the Spruce Kings Thursday night. The Warriors have had success against the Spruce Kings so far this season, with the latest victory coming in at 6-1 in a Chilliwack BCHL Showcase in January.
Coach West knows the Spruce Kings will be ready to play Thursday.
鈥淭hey play very well in their own barn. We have to be ready to play and make sure we are tough to play against,鈥 said West.
The Warriors鈥 season is coming to a quick end with only four games remaining after Thursday. West 麻豆精选 will finish with three home games starting Feb. 16 against Vernon, then Merritt, and then Trail. They will finish the regular season in Trail on Feb. 23 as playoffs are set to start in March.
