New dog ready to track down trouble with Vernon RCMP

Newest, and furriest, member Norse on duty

There's a new dog on duty with the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP.

Police Service Dog Norse and his handler Const. Sivecki recently transferred to the RCMP from the New Westminster Police Department through the Experienced Police Officer program with years of experience.

"At four-and-a-half years old, Norse is always ready to track down trouble alongside his handler," the local RCMP announced Friday, Jan. 31.

"This duo now calls Vernon home and is eager to jump in and serve and protect the North Okanagan and surrounding areas.

"Join us in giving Norse and Const. Sivecki a warm welcome to the pack!"
