The Community Expo is returning once again to Vernon.
Now in its fifth year, the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the free expo to bring together local businesses, non-profit community organizations, and city departments for a full day of discovery, connection and fun.
The expo will take place on Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kal Tire Place.
"This event is all about connection,鈥 said Chamber events manager Mayla Janzen. 鈥淭he Vernon Chamber is creating a space where the public can interact directly with the people behind local businesses and city initiatives 鈥 the kind of interaction you don鈥檛 always get in everyday life.鈥
Among the event highlights will be family-friendly activities in the form of balloons, games and prizes for the kids, along with a City of Vernon showcase featuring a dump truck, zamboni, CCTV van, fire truck, and RCMP volunteer cruiser.
There will also be over 80 booths from local businesses (including The Morning Star) and a chance to win a SilverStar Stay and Play prize package.
