This Space Belongs to You, a mental health organization dedicated to helping queer and marginalized youth find success and happiness, is inviting the community to come together to celebrate one year of operation.

The one-year milestone event will be held at Sprout Bread on November 2, at 5:30 p.m. and will feature music, art and a celebration of unity, said Meaghan Duckett, founder and executive director of This Space Belongs To You.

Musicians Deepak Bhatti and Mabaleka will be performing and vibes will be curated by Mimi Mutahi.

This Space Belongs to You is a IBPOC and 2SLGBTQIA+ mental health-centred organization that works to support youth ages 12 to 24.

Duckett said that the organization is dedicated to providing safe, inclusive spaces and resources for youth across the Okanagan.

Currently, This Space offers free one-on-one counselling, group programming and a gender-affirming wear program for youth in the community. To learn more about This Space Belongs to You or to access the services, visit thisspacebelongstoyou.com.
