Multiple weather warnings are in effect as three major highways are expecting 15-40 cm of snow throughout Wednesday.
Just before 4 a.m., Environment Canada put a winter storm warning in place for the Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt and on the Trans-Canada Highway from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass. Both routes are expecting 25-40 cm of snow from now until Thursday, along with heavy winds.

Highway 3 from Hope to Princeton is under a snowfall warming and is expected 15-25 cm of snow, as well as gusty winds that will develop later in the day on Feb. 28.
鈥淩apidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations,鈥 said Environment Canada. 鈥淰isibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.鈥
Environment Canada also suggests to consider postponing non-essential travel until weather conditions improve.
