The 麻豆精选 RCMP are asking the public to be on the lookout for a stolen antique truck.
On Tuesday, Sept. 26, the RCMP received a call about a owner of a burnt orange-coloured 1958 GMC 1/2-ton truck that was stolen from the secured fenced parking lot located at the 1300 block of St. Paul Street sometime late Monday night or early Tuesday morning.
Where the truck was stolen, the police discovered marks in the gravel indicating a tilt trailer was used to steal the truck.
The truck is in show room condition and worth anywhere from $35,000-$45,000.
鈥淭he passionate owner of this truck invested hours of his time and money into this vehicle,鈥 said Const. Mike Della-Paolera. 鈥淭he truck does stand out, and we want to return it as soon as possible to its rightful owner.鈥
As the RCMP has no suspects or witnesses so far, they are asking anyone with surveillance or dashcam footage or anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area, is to contact the 麻豆精选 RCMP at 250-762-3300 with the reference file number 2023-57699.
