Emergency Operations' duty comes to an end at Westside Road landslide

The Ministry of Transportation is now managing the site

Central Okanagan Emergency Operations (EOC) is standing down from the Westside Road landslide.

The site of the slide is now being managed by by the Ministry of Transportation.

"Additional information on freshet conditions and activities will be reported through the local jurisdictions unless a new emergency situation requires the EOC to activate," said the EOC in a press release.

The EOC for activated on April 2 after the landslide took place around 9:45 p.m. on April 1, taking out part of Westside Road between Main Street and Denison Road in the Reid Creek area.
