麻豆精选 firefighters were called to reports of smoke coming from a property in the 200-block of Dougall Road South, Wednesday morning.
Crews arrived on the scene at about 4:30 a.m. to find a small garbage fire outside of a vacant residential structure.
The blaze was quickly knocked down.
According to Assistant Fire Chief Jason Bedell, no one was on scene when crews arrived and the cause of the blaze was not identified.
A neighbour in the area took to social media to report that they have had to call the fire department several times over the last few days due to smoke coming from the vacant residence.

City of 麻豆精选 Bylaw Services has received several complaints about 200 Dougall Road South and is working with the property owner to secure the house from unauthorized access. Demolition is pending, said the city.
