Four people are in critical condition at Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ General Hospital as a result of a head-on crash between two vehicles on Highway 33, on Feb. 28.

The crash occurred just after 10 p.m., between a silver-coloured Toyota sedan travelling eastbound on the highway and a black-coloured Dodge sedan travelling westbound, close to Garner Road.

The highway from Garner Road to Toovey Road was closed for seven hours after the collision before being reopened at 5:35 a.m. on Feb. 29.

It appears as though both vehicles crashed into the median and then rolled down the embankment.

At this time, RCMP said that the cause of the crash is still undetermined.

The Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ RCMP’s Criminal Collision Investigation team is continuing their investigation and asking for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam or surveillance footage to come forward. Anyone with any information or witnesses the driving behaviors of the vehicles before the crash is to contact the Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ RCMP at 250-762-3300 with the reference file number 2024-10614.
