Construction starts on May 13 for a major overhaul of Ben Lee Park鈥檚 irrigation system.

A $410,000 investment to upgrade aging infrastructure.

Expected to wrap up by August, the project aims to enhance the park鈥檚 sustainability and functionality.

The park will stay open during construction, only the northwest parking lot will close for staging.

Divided into four phases, the work will focus on the park鈥檚 north half. Crews will tackle the inside perimeter pathway to the sports court. Then, attention shifts to the outer pathway, starting along Leathead Road and ending along McPhee Crescent.

The upgrades will prolong the life of irrigation equipment, cut maintenance costs, and include flow-sensing technology to reduce water consumption.
